EMOTION-IMAGE THERAPY

Find safe space

for self exploration

Emotion-Image Therapy (EIT) is a new method in psychotherapy which addresses chronic negative emotional states and helps solve psychological and psychosomatic issues. The therapy method is based on a principle that any emotional state can be expressed through visual, audial or kinaesthetic images produced in our minds. Thus, a psychodynamic conflict can be resolved through the interaction with those images and their transformation.

How I work

During the therapy session, I first create a space of safety, acceptance and trust in which you can explore your negative emotional states. Then I gently guide you through a process of engaging with your inner world, step by step. Together we find the cause of your inner conflict for resolution and relief.

My approach is respectful, professional and non-judgemental. I attend regular supervision sessions with senior psychologists to ensure I support my clients in the best possible way.

Principles that inform my therapy work:

  • Authentic inner change through a conscious choice

  • Acceptance of the outer world for what it is

  • Compassion instead of self-criticism

  • Curiosity instead of fear

  • Freedom instead of control

  • Relaxation and playfulness instead of tension

  • Self-sufficiency instead of co-dependency

  • Permission to be happy instead of self-pity

  • Life happens for you, not to you
